Rainy Days are A-Okay

Grab an umbrella. We have things to do.

On the list:
-get a Halloween costume
-chase away rainy day blues with delicious things

I always wait until Halloween Day to piece together a costume. It is usually an amalgamation of my clothing, my friends clothing, and outlandish accessories I find, well, anywhere! This year I decided to put some (if minimal) effort into deciding a costume ahead of time. So I went to a vintage shop in my 'hood, Park Slope, called Monkey Whistles and Motor Bikes (there's another great one called Odd Twin a couple blocks away). I saw a vintage Bon Jovi 1989 Tour shirt and found my inspiration. I won't reveal more just yet.

One of the best hot chocolates in New York City is at Trois Pommes. It is thick, like a melted chocolate bar, and the chocolate they use is rich, creamy, and sweet. The best part? The homemade marshmallow on top.

The last stop was to check out the Madison Square Park Market. I have been meaning on going for a couple weeks now and seeing that it is only open until November 1st, I thought I should not delay in going. The clothing and jewelry vendors were fine. They did not carry anything particularly impressive but lots of cute knick-knacks. The obvious star of this market was the food vendors. I'm talking about Butter Lane cupcakes, Breezy Hill Orchard apple cider and donuts, and many more options for us gluttons! Goodbye rainy day blues!
